This full one day workshop will be taking you through the stages of cuttlefish casting to show you how you can use this inexpensive organic material to make unique jewellery pieces.
This casting process is ideal for the hobbyist jeweller as you don’t need many expensive tools to achieve great results.
I will be showing you how to make your molds by carving into them and also how to use found objects to make a copy in metal.
You are welcome to bring your own small items (not all will be suitable for moulding as undercuts may prevent a good cast) or you’re welcome to use any from my selection to try.
You must provide your own clean silver scrap and/or casting grain to use on the day.
