Over two intensive, hands-on days, you’ll dive deep into the mechanics of stone setting. We move beyond the basics, focusing on precision, security, and that clean, professional finish that defines high-quality jewelry.
What you’ll master:

The Perfect Bezel: Learn to wrap, solder, and burnish bezels around cabochons of various shapes.

Prong Setting Fundamentals: Discover how to create “prongs or claws” that hold faceted stones securely while letting the maximum amount of light dance through the gem.

Troubleshooting: How to handle uneven stones, fragile gems, and those “oops” moments with professional techniques.

Saturday 27th June – Sunday 28th June 2026 from 10am-4pm.
Spend two full days in our professional jewellery studio refining your bezel settings skills and make your own fabulous stone set jewellery. Â This workshop is ideal for those who would love to brush up on their soldering, fabrication and setting techniques . Â This workshop is suitable for those with prior silver soldering experience as we will not be covering the foundation skills. Â People work at their own pace and therefore projects covered depend on individual progress and designs chosen.
Precious metals are not included in the workshop cost.  You are welcome to bring your own sterling silver sheet, wire and gemstones to use.  Gemstones and sea-glass will be available to buy during the workshop but you will need to provide your own silver sheet! Just ask us if you need guidance on what to purchase beforehand.  (Bezel wire and round wire will be available to purchase on the day.  Costs depend on weight of silver used and gemstones selected, from £15 +).
Please provide your own lunch, wear closed-toe sturdy shoes/boots and appropriate covered clothing as we will be using gas torches, chemicals and heavy tools.
