Explore and develop your love of sparkly gemstones, in our introduction to making a coronet set double crossover ring in this full one day class with local goldsmith Marlies White.

Marlies will teach you techniques needed to set faceted stones (Brilliant cuts) into coronet settings made from collet settings and soldered to a crossover style ring.  We will be making the ring in its entirety from sterling silver square wire and tube.  You will be making all the components to solder together and then set the stones.

Previous experience of working in silver is essential as we will not be covering basic jewellery making techniques. Please note that a good level of dexterity and good eyesight is required, as you will be measuring for precision and accuracy in your work.

Please note: Masterclasses are designed for students who have at least completed our beginners course as it relies on the foundation jewellery skills already being in place.
